Went to Stamford today,fairly local but love trying different places. I have a dairy allergy so was pleased to see lots of vegan products on offer. I find it easier to eat vegan when im out and love trying new vegan dishes. The sign was inviting and said they did Vegan and gluten free and a vegan scone which sounded great. When I got in staff were friendly and kind and directed me to the vegan selection which was great! No scones unfortunately but didn’t matter as loads of variety of cakes and even a vegan sausage roll which was lovely! Food was great and served a really great purpose for me and was really pleased overall! Thank you x

We have passed this cafe many times and it always appears busy which we think is a good sign. The staff were swift in taking our order, amongst us we ordered eggs benedict, and avocado on toast with poached eggs. The food arrived swiftly but all dishes had an overpowering acid taste of vinegar possibly the poached eggs are cooked with vinegar in the water? All dishes we ordered had poached eggs! The eggs benedict was a nice size portion albeit I couldn’t eat it as soo acidic, but the avocado on toast portions were merely one slice of toast with mashed avocado and one poached egg, two slices of toast would be a more average portion. Probably won’t visit again as there are many better cafes in the town, but it is good to try new places and the staff made up for the vinegary tasting food.

We popped in for a quick Brunch, staff were pleasant and attentive. We browsed the menu, which is straightforward, uncomplicated and has enough choice for most. The menu has a very “eco feel” and vegan friendly, which maybe considered overly fussy. Coffee was lovely, the food was average in our opinion. Not sure we’ll be back, as Stamford has so much choice and average doesn’t cut it for us.

Where do I begin I am not the type of person to complain but I have just had a lunch with some of my friends who I haven’t seen for years. They took 20 minutes just to take our order. One of my friends order this avocado thing on toast gave her the option of bread asked for white and got brown. I asked for the big breakfast I know it was a weekend special but wanted to see if they could by chance but couldn’t which was fine. I ordered this fried chicken thing with chips they couldn’t do it with chips so I had to have it with crisps at the same price and the baguette was rock hard and they couldn’t refund it because I had apprently eaten it although all I ate was the chicken and the crisps. Also one of my friends didn’t get her maple pancakes till 20 minutes after the rest of us got our food. They refunded it but that’s not the point . It was one thing after another. I work in the industry and it was just embarrassing.

I’m really surprised at the recent poor reviews. I hadn’t been for a few years but we went for brunch this morning. The service was really friendly and the coffee and food came out really quickly. Both the coffee and food were delicious and couldn’t have been better! The cakes are to die for The cafe was clean and had good covid measures in place. Overall a great experience and we’re looking forward to visiting again soon.
