The raspberry cinnamon roll had so much powdered sugar frosting. It had no flavor, just really overly sweet. The egg sandwich was hot and delicious and was the only saving grace of our visit. I have no reason to return.
First time eating here. The food was great and my server was helpful in aiding my selection. I ordered the Italian on sour dough.
Stopped in for breakfast. All the baked goods are so tempting. Very disappointed that there are no GF options for me. I had a breakfast sandwich with no bread while my husband ate an enormous cinnamon roll.Dietary restrictions: Nothing gluten free except pizza crust.
The Village Baker is a perfect spot for a lunch when you want to treat yourself. Their personal pizzas are just enough to fill you up and have a couple slices for leftovers. And if you really want to splurge, it's hard to resist their baked treats that are enticingly placed at the entrance as you walk up to order. You simply can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Their pizza menu does seem to be a very close copy of the Round Table Pizza franchise both in pizza menu selections and sauce flavor, which is very distinct in it's tanginess. With that said, they've enhanced the menu by adding a freshness theme by offering sandwiches and baked goods to turn what works have been a standard pizza joint into something much more appealing.
I don't live close so I never get to eat here. I made a special trip just to get a half turkey and provolone sandwich. When it was ready the kid went to hand it to me. I asked if I could please have a bag and he said sure. He tipped the container on its side to put it in the bag and also handed it to me sideways. I went to the car to see how bad it had fallen apart. All the inside of the sandwich completely fell out. It was a big mess. So I went back in to show the girl at the register. I said how am I supposed to eat this? She says what's wrong with it? I was speechless. She then says I guess I could ask them to make you another one with less sauce, less slippery? Like I was wrong for saying something. I'm not putting my fingers into my sandwich to put it back together! I just asked for my money back and left extremely disappointed.
