Jordan Gateway Grill - South Jordan

What a disappointment. This was a 1,000 point restaurant I like to find and it seemed good from what I read, but there were barely any reviews anywhere at the time. I took my girlfriend here to celebrate our just getting together because I wanted to find someplace different. We went at dinner time and NO ONE was there. It took a bit to realize it was in a hotel, and a Holiday Inn at that. One woman was running the bar and restaurant. She couldn't find my reservation. I had to pull it up on my phone and she still couldn't find it. I told her I'd call OpenTable right after we left to tell them we were there and to call this place. Luckily, I got a confirmation shortly after we were there. She was great to attend to us, but it's not like she had a choice since we were her only customers. The food was actually quite good. The environment clean and inviting. But I would never plan to come here and plan for it unless you were staying at the hotel. No need to come here for any reason. This was the lowest quality OpenTable restaurant I've ever been to. They just don't seem to even know they are connected with OpenTable.

I was pretty disappointed in the overall experience. This place needs to accept what it is and stop trying to be something grander. It’s a hotel restaurant in a Holiday Inn. My bad for expecting more, I’ve found some gems before, but this wasn’t one. Service was weak, the chef didn’t even know what was supposed to be with each dish. We had to ask three times for missing items for the meals, and a fourth item was brought to us by the waitress, after what she stated was “the chef finally read the menu and realized what should have been on the plate.” It is a nice facility in a nice hotel. It won’t ever be destination dining. Don’t over reach.

Located in the lobby of the new Holiday Inn. Food was pretty good for the price. Drinks from the bar are good and nicely priced. Had the pork chop, it lacked seasoning but was still not too bad.

I made a reservation via OpenTable and got a confirmation email. When I called to confirm my reservation, the representative had no idea who I was. I will never use OpenTable again. Luckily, I was able to find another restaurant.

Good experience, one item on the menu was not anymore available. Very nicely apologize and make us fully respected. Thanks you.
