Don't underestimate this out of the way cafe set on a Macadamia farm!<br <br Went a month ago for Wednesday lunch ... joined my mother on one of her seniors bus outing days)<br <br With only 1 person as front of house as well as being the waitress) and 1 chef in the kitchen, servicing and cooking for an entire bus load of people plus other sundry customers) they did very well indeed!<br <br Food: 5 5<br Really, really, darn good. Portions were on target. Taste, presentation, and individual dish components were fantastic. Quality of produce top notch. Priced very well.<br <br A variety of dishes were all cooked to order with full attention to quality which meant of course that there was some waiting involved but the dishes were fantastic and fresh. <br <br The group all had great feedback on food taste and quality including the below items:Thai beef saladChicken saladOmeletteEggs BenedictPan friend chicken livers<br Macadamia cake with yoguhrt<br ... plus others i cant specifically remember<br <br I also had the pan fired chicken livers ... Fantastic. Chicken livers can go so wrong if not cared for! They can end up overcooked and tough, or raw ... These were perfect. Cooked just right and creamy on the inside. I'll be back for sure! Credit to the chef!!! Yum<br <br Service was very caring and attentive; even though she was completely run off her feet for a full 2 hours she remained cheerful and attentive ... As mentioned, timing for dishes out weren't great; but let's face it with only 2 staff, the alternative is food that is rushed and sub quality . So again, with a sizeable group and only 1 chef, some waiting was understandably required. But well worth it for great food.<br <br I'm sure any other day with usual amounts of customers will see certainly dishes coming out at faster speeds.<br <br Location Setting:  The indoor cafe itself is quite utilitarian but the outdoor seating with country surroundings and outlook is lovely.<br <br All in all, well worth coming for some good nosh!

Nice place, we had beef burger, French toast, kids meal with chicken nuggets and chips and a carrot cake, the food was great, place was clean and tidy unlike some reviews, at first was a bit worried when I read the previous review, but we was pleasantly surprised, we will be back again!

MacNut Cafe is our favourite Cafe in the Helensville area.  Regan and Penny are lovely, the food is delicious and the service is great.

Great place for a relaxed meal. Love the coffee and the NEW MENU is just delicious.hospitality is fabulous and welcoming, highly recommend for breakfast or lunch. Great for bring the kids too, nice little walk to wear off some energy.
