Again we had excellent service and home cooked food, I have seen other reviews who comment on the seats and it’s more for locals , but it will always be a favourite.
This is clearly where the locals go rather than the harbour front pubs. The day we went it was quiet, but the open fire and welcoming bar lady made the atmosphere very enjoyable. We had some lovely home cooked food, that really was home cooked, and you could tell the difference. It was wonderful.
There were no issues with the welcoming atmosphere or service at this restaurant. We enjoyed the delicious seafood chowder. It is a cozy pub with a small menu that is effective. However, we may not return as we found better options in the town. The restaurant is partially wheelchair accessible.
We walked in from the rain into a warm and inviting restaurant with a fireplace. We started with crab cakes and then enjoyed seafood chowder with fresh bread for our main course. Unfortunately, we were too full to try the treacle tart. The hostess was friendly and attentive.
We just came for a drink and the front seats near the window had cushions on, I lifted one up and the seat was damaged. I moved further away but the place is really nice and landlady really good to talk to.
