The Jetty Salcombe - South Hams

During our holiday in Salcombe, we dined at this restaurant for dinner and were so impressed that we made a reservation for the following evening. The menu is diverse and intriguing, the food is exquisite, and the wine selection is fantastic. The standout feature, however, is the exceptional service. Paul waited on us both nights and remembered our preferred table and wine choice. This restaurant is without a doubt the best in Salcombe - a true gem.

We were very disappointed with our Wedding Anniversary dinner. The starters and desserts were okay, but the main courses were very poor. My wife's hake was dry and my surf and turf dish was a joke for £55. The one small and tasteless scallop and prawn on top of a tough sirloin steak was not enjoyable. The fries seemed like they came from McDonald's, but even those would have been better. Despite a small reduction in the bill after I complained, the total still came to nearly £200. We will not be returning and do not recommend this restaurant to others.

We had a lovely family Sunday lunch at this restaurant. The views were fantastic, the food was excellent, and it was definitely value for money. I would recommend it to everyone to give it a try. The staff were all friendly, except for the young lady who showed us to our table.

Delicious freshly prepared food, chunky scallops, awesome tiger prawns in batter, soufflé dripping in cheese sauce for starters. We loved the belly pork, lamb and chicken dishes. The dauphinois potatoes were too good to share. Steak comes with salad and fries. Book a table by the window

We went for an afternoon lunch and wanted something a little bit special to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Some of the staff seemed a bit stressed and grumpy, our server was lovely though. It was very empty so we was served our food quickly. The haddock was tasteless but the other food was ok. The overall experience was underwhelming and expensive. Lovely views but that’s about it.
