Yo! Sushi - South Gloucestershire

My wife and son love sushi, although I am not a fan myself. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of alternative options available at this restaurant. I decided to try the katsu curry and found it very enjoyable. My wife has been trying to convince me to come here for years, and now I understand why - we will definitely be returning. My son had a great time picking different colored plates from the conveyor belt. The staff were friendly and efficient, ensuring quick turnover of tables when needed.

The food at this restaurant is delicious and the service is fantastic! My boyfriend and I went for lunch and Chakib was very welcoming and friendly. A pro tip: make sure to try the Mochi, you won't be disappointed!

I am extremely disappointed with my recent dining experience at this restaurant. Out of the 6 dishes I ordered, all of which were overpriced, only 2 were edible and up to par. The portion size of the Yo Sushi Katsu Chicken was a third of what it used to be, and to make matters worse, it lacked any flavor and had a watery texture. The radish on top tasted like bleach and the rice was inedible. The Korean Fries were so disappointing that I had to return them, and honestly, the entire meal should have been sent back. To add to the disappointment, there were no napkins or forks provided, and the seating and floor were dirty. The staff was minimal and one of them tried to deceive me by not giving me my receipt and still charging me for the Korean Fries, despite promising to remove them from the bill. Overall, I will not be returning to this establishment.

Food is nice, however always tastes different to the Cardiff branch. Place is getting a bit older and grubby. I think it could do with a refurbish. But it’s nice and food is good. Service a little slow but staff are friendly. Overall good experience:

Was told wait was up to an hour, and was turning everyone away despite only a dozen people in restaurant. I waited anyway and was seated in 10 minutes. Was eventually brought a warm can of Coke. No apology or offer of alternative when I complained. Although staff cleared it away it was still on the bill at the end. Not the usual expected Yo! efficient service.
