Contribuiți la feedbackCalled in on a Monday lunchtime after seeing a sign outside offering two meals for £12 , Monday Saturday . We were looking for a Breakfast but it was getting late so decided to go for lunch instead. The Menu offered a good selection of meals and we were told it would be changed regularly so there would be plenty to choose from. I chose Lambs Liver, creamy Mashed Potato and Onion Gravy which was delicious. My wife had Ham Egg and chips, with peas. The Ham was fresh and tasty and the egg well cooked. Chips were spot on. These were both good size meals, well cooked and well presented. Service was fine and the venue was comfortable . I would be happy to recommend this to anyone as it was good value for money.
An evening drink with some friends was ruined by a group of foul mouthed youths who it appeared were acquaintances of the bar staff. To our disbelief a child of primary school age was part of their group, my goodness what an example to set. Unpleasant totally unacceptable. Won't be returning anytime soon!!
Accommodated for a large group of us with little time to spare before the kitchen shut. Orders were taken before we arrived and came out not long after we got there. Service was brilliant and the food was very good for the price, in fact one of the nicest burgers I have had in awhile.
Called in to this run of the mill boozer for a drink with my partner. This pub is showing signs of neglect and having taken a seat at a shabby table and on threadbare seating, I was down 25 quid for two rounds. (Large house wine and a pint of lager both times) . We all know times are hard and prices are high but this was taking the P particularly when you take into account that they have the nerve to charge 50p for a small soda water which is of course tap water with bubbles, even when you have paid through the nose for the booze. We regularly pay between of £19 £22 quid for the same booze in similar standard pubs, come on landlord get a grip or you will loose your locals.
We all had fantastic meals at The Globe on Easter Monday. My wife, daughter and son enjoyed the Cajun Salmon Steak and Salad which was very tasty and plentiful. I opted for the Monday Steak Night 8oz Rump with all the trimmings and Stilton Sauce, which was just melt in your mouth heaven. A great selection of cask ales and lagers on offer to compliment the dinner as well. Well done to Lloyd and the team, see you all again soon.
