Taqueria El Aguila - South Bend

If you are looking for authentic Mexican food, I would suggest this restaurant. My personal favorite was empanadas with red sauce. They didn’t have a lot of options but the ones they had were really good. The horchatas here were really good. The price was also quite fair compared to the quantity of food provided.

Had steak, cheese, and bean papusa for the first time yesterday. Very delicious with the cabbage and chipotle sauce that comes with it. Chips/salsa was great as well! The service is great, but the drinks are overpriced and the restaurant is very cold. Bring a sweater. Would come back again.

I am SO glad I decided to fight with construction to try this restaurant. Some of the BEST authentic Mexican food I have had in awhile. You got tons of food for a great price, and when I saw pupusas on the menu I was so excited! I will definitely tell everyone I know about this place!

Easily one of the best spots to eat in town. This place is like stepping into your aunt's or grandmother's kitchen for a home cooked meal. Come with time, relax, and enjoy an excellent meal without any fancy expectations.
