La Central Panaderia - South Bend

OMG, I finally made it! I can't wait to go back over the weekend. They have a fantastic selection of delicious pastries, and the aroma as you walk in is absolutely delightful... yum! I found myself wanting to buy one or two of everything!

I've never had a bad experience here. You always go above and beyond to ensure we receive the best food and service. We truly appreciate our visits every time!

This restaurant is a family-owned authentic Mexican bakery, and it’s definitely worth a visit. English isn't widely spoken here, but that adds to the charm. Western Avenue has shifted from the heart of the Polish community in South Bend to the vibrant center of the Mexican community.

Well went from Elkhart to S.Bend to buy Mexican candy, it would be a little cheaper to buy in the main bakery instead of in a Mexican grocery store. But it cost the same as in Elkhart, so it wasn't worth the drive. Don't go back.

This is a lovely and DELICIOUS Mexican bakery. My dad and I went in to buy a bunch of different pastries for my mom's birthday. They have a wide selection of treats. The gentleman that helped us was very kind and gave us both a concha to try. It was still warm from the oven and amazing. There are several panaderia's to try on this stretch of Western Ave. I hope to try them all but I will always come back to La Central. Muchas Gracias!
