Ordered a breakfast chorizo burrito. Usually not a fan of chorizo but decided to order. The burrito itself was fully loaded with rice and beans. It overwhelmed the chorizo and egg to the point I had to open up the burrito to taste the other food. I will say the chorizo and egg was skimped out on. The burrito was huge and too big for me to finish. The burrito was 13$ and could possibly be split in half for two people. Overall, would rate a 2.5 out of 5 considering it does taste authentic. The lady who took my order was extremely kind and was Buena Gente. As for the location it’s extremely unappealing and made me question if the burrito would taste good beforehand. Location inside and out needs some serious rebranding and remodeling. Customers like aesthetic and this place is a tad bit too run down. Had a photo but for some reason could not post it :
I ordered a shrimp cocktail and it was delicious ? ?
The food is good, albeit with a lot of carbohydrates and cheese. I am a 77-year-old Chinese and know what good food is or not. Me and my wife munched on chips with free refills before ordering food.I finished my plate while my wife had two tacos left. Highly recommended.
Rough area. Cops everywhere. Men’s restroom was filthy. Extra charge for second round of chips and salsa. Rude waiter. Maybe because of the location (homelessness, drugs). Waited for 20 minutes before the waiter took our order. And then he rushed us at 8:15 pm since we ordered the all you can eat and the cook wanted to close the kitchen. We spent $140 in food and left him the tip he deserved, 1¢. I’ve never done that but at this location, it was well deserved. If you decide to dine there, you’ll see why. The First St. location in La Puente is much better. And the Whittier location is the best I’ve been to.
