Spectacle Lake Lodge - South Algonquin

This restaurant was absolutely terrible. We visited with a group of 56 people from Algonquin Park on October 15th, having booked the restaurant almost 3 months in advance. However, upon arrival, it was clear that they were not prepared for our group. The restaurant manager/owner was incredibly rude, refusing to acknowledge the missing items from our orders and the lack of adequate service. Eventually, she begrudgingly allowed us to finish our meal, but only if we packed up our leftovers to go. The restaurant then threatened our travel organizers with a price increase if we did not pay immediately, leaving us feeling pressured and uncomfortable. Despite the poor service, we were still forced to pay and leave in the middle of our meal. This was an incredibly disappointing experience, and I wish I could give them zero stars. The buffet lunch we were served was subpar, consisting mainly of fried foods with very little variety. The portions were far too small for our large group, leading to long waits for food refills. We were charged a high price per person for low-quality food and unprofessional service. Overall, this was the worst restaurant experience of my life and I would not recommend it to anyone.

This restaurant deserves 0 stars. The owner is Canadian and clearly discriminates against visibly different groups, such as those wearing a hijab, for ridiculous reasons. They advertised a buffet for $39 but ended up charging $44.07, yet there was barely any food available. They did not have the soup they had promised, and the only options were potatoes and gravy, pasta salad, fish and chips, and a few baked items. When we complained, they accused us of trying to steal and refused to refill the food. The quality and taste were terrible, and some people couldn't even eat the food. Overall, a terrible experience that I would not recommend.

We went to the restaurant with a group of 4 and the dining experience was amazing! The soup we had tasted like a turkey dinner in the sky. The service was friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was clean, friendly, and overall very cheerful. The sunroom had a beautiful view that made us feel like we were dining by the lake. I highly recommend requesting the sunroom or terrace when making a reservation, especially when the weather is warmer!

We stopped seeing if they had a place for us for the night only by chance and they had a cabin nr. 11, which was empty at 275 in the night, so late in the evening we took it. Well, I don't even have. my shoes looked, the carpet was so dirty full of stains and extremely disgusting, but we had to stay a place to stay and that's all we could find. at 10 o'clock I rose up to go the bathroom and a mouse ran over my feet and behind the boiler and taste that she was on the floor in the mini kitchen, so it was for me I was afraid of mice so on tomorrow my man went to the main table and asked if she had another room in the main building hexe they did, but as for me just wanted to leave. Anyway he rented room 4 hexe was clean. now, the night as a heard noice and there was this little black box on the floor near my bed with a mouse in it I lost it and my man threw it out. we went very early and on the way out was the owner on the way in I wanted to stop, but man wouldn't. So I wrote them when we came home to tell her about my order, not even, but three times, and I didn't even hear a word about this woman. they would think that they would be concerned that one of their quests lived an oral and at least not answer anything we were good enough to take money here, but not good enough for them, at least to say sad for what has happened. I have to admit that eating was good and the table service was great.

We went to the resort for breakfast, thinking we would be able to order from a menu or have a buffet with someone making eggs or omelets (how we had it couple years ago) And there was a continental breakfast. There was rubber eggs, cold...waffles and burnt bacon. Everything was cold. Nothing was warm or even hot. When we got the bill it was $34.00 for two people. We never expected it would be that high for a cold breakfast.
