Contribuiți la feedbackWe stayed at their hotel and reserved for their first day for the season! What a treat! A great experience as everyone was giving their best. We had appies which were amazing, Cesar salad which was an experience and a potato dish with fresh basil and their best one was the eggplant. Their raspberry sauce was incredible!! For dessert their class Limoncello cheesecake with an emulsion on top when paired with each but it was fantastic! The presentation was fantastico! Molto Bene!
Stayed in September 2020 for 3 nights. Great hotel, lovely clean spacious rooms, beautiful view and good service. Location is perfect within a 10 minute walk to the main square, marina and other sights. Only small criticism is no iron : Definitely recommend staying at the Hotel Rivage whilst in sorrento!
So it's the 3rd year we have stopped at this hotel. This is not about the hotel. However the bar and restaurant amaze us. After walking down to the marina grande and back up we decided to share a litre of house white wine. As advertised for 12€ all week on the specials board. We got a 750ml bottle with hotel rivage label. This wasn't opened in front of us like all the other restaurants here. So maybe it is filled before. On paying we were charged 12€ for a litre. When we told them we only had 750ml the waiter went and took a picture. Pointing at the picture of a carafe and the word 1 ltr. They then tried to convince us that 750ml is equivalent to 1 ltr in Italy he showed us a 50ml bottle of water as half litre so not sure where 1ltr 750ml. What a joke. Do avoid and go to one of the many restaurants in the town that will give you what you pay for as advertised. The hotel staff informed us the bar is not linked yet the bottle of wine had their label on it....
We spotted this restaurant while walking around Sorrento and were taken with the view, which is splendid. First bad sign was the waitress didn't LISTEN we ordered a Gin Fizz and a Aperol but received 2 Aperols...Ok this was sorted but no real apology. Then the meals arrived mine was OK but my husband ordered sea bass. As she delivered the meal the waitress whisked it away and said something about cleaning it ...she had NOT been asked to do this. It came back like chopped up cat food and was quite cold. . She took it away but it came back no warmer. At least they took the sea bass off the bill but it really spoiled our last night in Sorrento
We went here on our first evening, as it was reasonably close to our hotel. Staff were nice enough but I was not happy when I chose the house wine. The server said that she really recommended a better wine, and would we not prefer it? It was 10 Euros more expensive so we stayed with the house wine. Food was average, and my lasagne was not memorable. We decided that this was our first and last visit!
