La Terrasse Royal - SORRENTO

We are staying at the Grand Hotel Royal in Sorrento this week for three nights taking the half board option that includes breakfast and dinner. For the dinner, we were offered water when we sat down only to find out after the meal was served that the water is not included with the meal and that it costs 7 euro (we've been in Sorrento for 12 days and never paid more than four euro anywhere else). We're already paying several thousand euro for a three-night stay at this hotel and they need to squeeze us for a nearly 100% mark-up on WATER? How do they sleep? Nice view though.

Beautiful setting and lovely food. We were contemplating making this our second choice for a return visit but after initial good service.

We had a beautiful dinner here on the outdoor terrace while celebrating my dad's fifth. Head waiter went above and beyond to make it an amazing night for us!

Excellent hotel restaurant good service not cheap but worth the experience We had our anniversary dinner here

We had a lovely light lunch of pizza, salads and sandwiches after a swim in the pool. Despite the walk from the hotel's kitchen, everything was hot, or cold and delicious. Wait staff were excellent!
