Contribuiți la feedbackWe had a 8:15 reservation. Came down from the Terrasse l'Annexe and they politely told us that our table wasn't ready and offered to pay for an appetizer back at l'Annexe. We went had another drink and came back when our table was ready. Great service! The food was great. Had a wonderful time!
Last week, during the Festival de la Gibelotte, a couple of our friends introduced us to Le Fougasse. What a great experience. We are from South shore and we found it more convenient and less trouble to go to Sorel then to pay us a visit in a restaurant in Montreal - no traffic- highway all the way and lots of parking !! what else do you need ? We were seated on their terrace- the service was great, quick and the waitress was very knowledgeable about the wines and food pairing -- Great suggestions from her. We had Bison tartar - excellent and we took the ''beef bavette' which is one of their specialties . The veal and the deer were also delicious -- good portion served with veggies and fries or your type of potatoes. We shared a portion of their famous cheese cake which is really a cheese mousse - delicious!! ( we usually don't like cheese cake since we find it is too consistent but this one is great) . We had our coffee and digestive drink at the terrace on the roof of the building. Great ambiance.So if you want good food, good service, lots of parking etc... do not hesitate to try le Fougasse - you will become addicted!!

You cannot eat at le Fougasse without tasting LA BAVETTE de bœuf; it absolutely fabulous !!!I have TRIED many placess elsewhere, but NOBODY can come to the heel to the CHEF of le FOUGASSE.If You come to Sorel, it is THE place to enjoy your PAPILLES GUSTATIVES
Dined at La Fougasse for lunch. Was surprised how nice it was inside. Started with a cup of carrot and honey soup. Great way to warm the insides after being outside on a chilly day. For main I had the flank steak. It came with mashed potato, mixed veggies and coleslaw. The flank steak arrives still sizzling on a cast iron skillet. That was one fantastic flank steak. So flavorful. For dessert we had a German cake with sauce. It was a nice dense cake and the sauce was rich. Perfect way to finish my lunch. Great service.
