West Coast Grill - Sooke

Two of us had dinner at The West Coast Grill on August 10th. We hadn't made a reservation so we had to sit at the bar, which was fine. It's a lovely bar. We both ordered the 10 oz. Steak with fingerling potatoes and veggies. I had red wine, a nice Shiraz. The atmosphere is nice and the view is likely stunning however we didn't have much of view from our location. Staff were friendly and efficient. The meal however was standard. My medium-rare steak was so close to too well done but the char was admirable. The veggies were lack-luster and the potatoes were mushy. There was no salt anywhere to be seen...although we were offered pepper. The steak was tender and the char tasty, but the menu was limited and certainly not for families. Overall, I'll give this restaurant a 7/10.

Stopped by for lunch on a foggy Thursday with our two young children. Our meals were great and the service was wonderful. If we were here for a longer visit, would come back!

West Coast Grill delivers yet once again. From the moment you walk in you are greeted with genuinely friendly staff along with the bright beautiful atmosphere. We were greeted by our server Karen she escorted us to our table which was set up beautifully, it was a belated 60th birthday celebration. The buffet was amazing, we actually went for a second plate, which is something I never do. We were treated like royalty. The chef came to our table and introduced himself he also wished me a happy birthday and suggested dessert which was his treat. We've had Karen as a server many times she is so genuinely friendly always with a beautiful smile plus knowledgeable of the menu and Sooke itself.It was yet another fantastic experience at the West Coast Grill, thank you Karen once again you are the best!!!

I recently spent a week at the Prestige Resort in Sooke for a medical conference with my wife. Though I spent some time exploring the local area, I often found myself continuing to come back to the West Coast Grill time and time again. I tried almost everything on the menu and was definitely not disappointed... but the thing that kept me coming back was the tremendous customer service. The staff really goes out the way to ensure you are comfortable and even help you get familiar with all of the great sights and "things to do" in the local area. By the end of the week I felt like part of the family. The sights were amazing, but the people of Sooke is what made me want to come back again.I want to send a shout out to the folks who made my experience so great (I know I forgot a few)...Thank you Adrianna, Dan B., Jake, Heather, Autumn, Mendin, & others that I may not have gotten your name!We definitely plan to make a trip back because of YOU, & the exceptional service and hospitality of the folks of the West Coast Grill!

Stayed at the hotel for 7 days and ordered room service most breakfast and dinners during our stay. No complaints, food was good and staff was very accommodating.
