Contribuiți la feedbackI had high expectations because of the many reviews I read here. Unfortunately I didn't really find the food so great, only on average, especially it was a bit more expensive compared to the other German restaurants in the area. The service staff was also not attentive,...both many small requests. Beverages instead of large, extra spoons etc. we had to ask twice or three times. Plus is the many types of sof beer you can order and the ambience that is somewhat different than all. the restaurants in the area.
The food is excellent (99% of the time). Service can be pretty hit and miss. in Kovid times this restaurant offered at home delivery and takeaway. both still available after hompage (june/july 2021 . we discovered that the delivery service was no longer available (via direct messaging and...after ordering (self picking up on several occasions went hungry on our last evening after our order 19:15 (we stood at the door! was not accepted. sad as we were ready to wait and tables were given. so it is a 5-star dyke for the quality of food (actually good and a miserable 1 star to turn away for us. NO...we will not be back and recommend checking the conditions of the day before we commit ourselves to taking away/dine-in or whatever....
As a family we went to this restaurant roughly a year ago. On that occasion we had lunch and we all really enjoyed it. Sadly this year we returned and we were much less impressed. It was a reasonably busy evening, Valentines day, although not...manic. The service was really sporadic. We expected service to be a little slower due to there only being 2 waiting staff in a busy restaurant and we were in a party of 8. What was disconcerting was that bits and pieces of our orders turned up at different times rather than as a whole. We ordered 3 baked camambert as part of our starter order. One was cold and had to be returned. The waiter forgot that we had sent it back and so by the time it had been re done everyone had finished their starters. When done properly the camambert were nice but one couple had only just finished their re-done starter as the main courses started to appear. As part of our mains we ordered Spaetzle, a kind of macaroni cheese, along with a vegetarian risotto. The Spaetzle clearly had cheese on it, it was visibly stringy but the dish was almost completely tasteless and consequently really hard work to eat. It was like eating a huge bowl of lumpy pasta without any sauce. The risotto was frankly horrible. Pumpkin, pesto and onion. The rice was quite over cooked and the dish had a very bitter taste, with chunks of raw pumpkin in it. It didn't get eaten. On the plus side those that had burgers enjoyed them, the drinks were good, including the home made specials. The atmosphere was great and the decor modern and interesting. The bill came to about €35/ head which, considering the number of drinks we had was reasonable value. We complained about the risotto in particularly being inedible and were met with a shrug and no sense of interest. We will undoubtedly return to this region but not to this restaurant. Shame. We thought we'd found somewhere we could rely on.
Really bad service, unfortunately you need to ask twice for a drink, menu etc. Staff is not friendly. For Allgäu overpriced.
The first time I went to Handwerk I got the burger, and while the burger tasted okay it was not worth close 18€. I went again to give them a second chance and I ordered the allgau noodles which were very heavy and greasy while...my girlfriend ordered the pumpkin risotto which had no flavor. The prices are way too high for the average food they serve but the views are nice if you go for a coffee or a beer. I wouldn’t recommend eating here.
