Genki Ya Somerville

This restaurant offers high-quality ingredients that are simply and skillfully prepared. I visited for lunch and experienced no wait time, with excellent service throughout. The music created a vibe reminiscent of a tropical paradise, and the atmosphere was lovely. I ordered the Genki special roll, which featured tuna and salmon topped with caviar on a lightly fried rice roll. The roll was still warm when it arrived. The straightforward flavors paired beautifully with the soy sauce and wasabi, while the ginger had a subtle pickled taste without being overly sweet. I will certainly return!

The service is excellent, and the sushi is among the best I've ever had. I do wish they had a few more options for appetizers and other dishes, but the quality of the food more than makes up for it.

Sushi was good, but something overpriced. Drinks seemed like they had no alcohol in them. Service was quite inconsistent. Not bad, but probably not return soon

I ordered from their website and when they delivered the food, the delivery person CALLED me and demanded for tips. He was basically harassing me, demanding me that I tipped him more so I called the restaurant hoping they?d help me resolve the situation. Instead of being sympathetic of my situation and understanding that this is NOT OKAY at all for any delivery person to do, the restaurant did not take any action and still asked if I was going to tip the person or not. I have never experienced this at all with any food delivery services. They should know that it is never okay for any delivery person to harass their customers to demand for more tips.

Nice decor and staffs are polite. Good selection of sushi. But choices for entrees are not a lot and prices are a bit pricey. Ordered shrimp and vegetables tempura, seafood tempura roll, and triple torch roll. The maki are pretty good.
