Last Chance Southwest Grill - Solitude

Really?! You're serving pre-oiled frozen vegetables and calling them 'Wood-Fired Vegetables'? At least have the decency to inform your customers about that before they order. Overall, the restaurant feels like an upscale fast food joint set in lovely surroundings. I have to admit, though, that the pulled pork sandwich, dripping with fat, was quite delicious!

After our enjoyable hike at Solitude, we decided to stop for lunch. Although the restaurant wasn’t busy, we had to wait a while to be seated. I had a feeling it wasn't going to be a good experience when my wife received a flat and warm champagne. They replaced it, which was acceptable. However, my $27 salad was disappointing; it felt more like a side salad than a main dish. I could understand this during peak ski season, but it was summer. I would recommend the hikes in the area, but suggest dining at the pizza place in the plaza instead.

Excellent service and delicious food! The menu has options for everyone. We were initially eager to try the poutine, but one of us opted for the flatbread, which turned out to be delightful. Of course, the poutine was fantastic, and I was thrilled to find a great selection of alcohol-free beers alongside the amazing craft beers on tap. We will definitely be returning!

The Melvin beer was good. The burger was a major disappointment. I ordered the bison burger and asked if it was a large burger , they assured me it was very large. The burger was maybe the size of what you would expect from a fast food restaurant (1/4 lb patty or smaller, very small), and it was very over cooked. I asked for rare to medium rare. DEFINITELY not worth the 20 ish dollars spent on the burger...

So yummy. We?ve eaten here several times and the roasted veggies are my absolute favourite thing! Everything I?ve had is good, but the roasted veggies are probably the best thing on the menu.
