This restaurant is not just convenient; they truly value every customer and go out of their way to make you feel important and satisfied. The sandwiches are fantastic, and I highly recommend trying the salad pack with lettuce tortillas! The staff even remembers your name, just like at Cheers.

QUICK STOP! My wife and I stopped here during our Sunday morning cycling tour to grab a bottle of water. It was already over 90°F at 11 a.m. as we headed home from our trip to Torrey Pines State Beach. My wife had run out of cold water in her Hydro Flask, and we still had a few miles to go. We went in together, and she picked out a bottle of cold spring water from a closet while I explored the place, since we had never been here before. They had a standard selection of wine and beer, along with a deli counter where you could order sandwiches. My wife paid $1.45 for the bottle of water, and then we left. It seems like a nice spot for tourists!

I really like this place as a sandwich shop. the quality is spot on... fresh veggies and bread, top quality Boar's Head meats. It's everything you need in a sandwich. The ladies that make the food are friendly and welcoming. This is the most economical lunch in Del Mar village area by far. You can even call in your order so its ready when you get there. Watch the time though, they shut down the deli at 2 pm. They have two little outside tables on the side of the building but I've never been able to sit at one because they were already taken. I eat here about once a week for lunch. For such a tiny place, they have an excellent selection of wines and spirits as well. Not that I'm picking up a 5th and a straw to go with my roast beef, but I have brought a nice bottle of red home to share with my wife now and again.
