Contribuiți la feedbackYou don't come across a traditional Finnish bread often, but I was pleased to find one at Upper Crust Bakery. I asked if they could bake me a loaf of poula for my early morning departure, and they happily agreed. I picked up a warm and delicious loaf of bread just in time for the ferry ride back to Port McNeill. The friendly service was much appreciated. Thank you!
The decor in this place is totally eclectic with every table and most chairs different and unique from the next. We arrived late in the afternoon and selection was pretty sparse but what was left was spectacular
Lots of fresh baked-from-scratch products. We enjoyed lemon bars and butter tart squares. Also took home a loaf of freshly baked whole wheat bread. Haven't eaten anything this good since my mother used to bake. Bakery offers delicious breakfasts, sandwiches and light lunches as well as good coffee and desserts.
Stopped in here for some baked goods. There was a few cookies and scone and scones that was it ..everything else empty in the morning. Ordered a breakfast sandwich to go which was ok. The bun was good. Service was great just nothing really to buy?
You walk in expecting bread, croissants, scones maybe sandwiches and soup...and you will find those delicious treats but there are also beautiful local carvings and hand crafted items as well as imported clothing, jewellery, toys and rag rugs. Victor, the owner was happy to speak with us and demonstrate some of the singing toy frogs which we ended up buying for our grandsons. We returned the next day for fresh Pulla bread and a Taco pizza - ground beef, onions, peppers and cheese on a bakery crust - delicious! There is room to sit and eat inside or out on the small patio overlooking the ocean. Open Tuesday to Saturday, 9:30-4:30. Victor will accommodate special requests if he can. Plan to have lunch here.
