Pizzeria Da Nicola - SOGLIANO CAVOUR

First visit we ordered antipasto and secondi piatti. Our plates were whisked away before we had finished eating our antipasti seemingly because our main course was cooked and ready and placed on the table. The food itself was adequate, no more. We ventured back a second time, it's the only restaurant in Sogliano Cavour open on a Monday night, and we thought to keep it simple with a pizza, the base was tough and the topping tasteless, no better than a British pizza!!!! On both occassions the service was brusque to the point of rudeness. We would travel any distance not to eat here again.

Quintessential example of Italian 'slow food '. Perhaps too slow, but that is up for continued debate, is it not?

All good. Not just pizza, a vast choice of typical products regularly homemade. Very attentive, qualified and experienced staff. Cozy place, spacious room, even private if needed. . To frequent and return

I phoned to make a table reservation and was told that they don't make reservations, when you arrive...you wait for a table to become available! ??? . Good fried fresh mussels, shame about the service: the starters served 25 minutes apart. from each other. You call the waiters and they arrive after at least 3 calls....the service really NEEDS IMPROVEMENT...except for the girl, good and competent!

We eat well. Good price and excellent quality food. If you don't want a luxurious place with extra prices, but genuine dishes, this is the right place.
