Bodega can stand its own against Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.....or any big city for that matter. I had a 5-Star meal 3 weeks ago and want to report my experience. The staff was excellent, very friendly and willing to accommodate, and the venue itself was just so interesting and well-designed. I travel through Socorro every few weeks and stay the night because it is approximately half-way on my journey. I have eaten at three other restaurants in town and have only found them average in most respects. Solid food, however nothing on par with Bodega. I had the filet dinner and was very happy that it exceeded my expectations.The steak that was perfectly done! How often can you say that? Next month I 'll be back and will order the same meal with all the identical parameters. Check back and I 'll let you know......... EDIT: Still outstanding, Bodega has fully recovered from the Covid Age and has improved on every level. How, you ask? The owner and staff have made it happen. Clear and simple. Bodega is only open from 4pm to 8pm because they discovered that that was their sweet spot and it has worked admirably. Again, I couldn 't resist and had a Boneless Rib Eye that was pure bliss. Bodega has substantial vegetarian offerings including non-meat burgers so you might still have a tasty meal and glass of wine in Socorro. The wine shop has expanded, too, assisting you with after dinner pleasures back at the ranch. And WOW, I had not gone into the bar on my previous visit and this time I did which allowed me to see the amazing pool table room and extra seating areas where you can still eat dinner. It was actually quieter in the bar area than the main dining room, too, so I opted to eat at the Penny Bar which has 1,000 's of US pennies embedded under the clear surface.
We really enjoyed our dinner at Bodega Burger company and lounge. We stopped because of their full parking lot. Inside was comfortable and full of people. Joel greeted us and we were seated immediately. The staff was efficient and the food was delicious. We had swiss mushroom burger and steak enchilada. We will definitely be back!
I ordered the Cobb Salad but subbed the chicken for the steak. Delicious! Steak was cooked perfect and salad was all fresh.
Yesterday 9-12-22) we went to Bodega Burger for a birthday dinner for my mom. We ordered prime rib). Mom and I had to use the restroom and when we got back to the table, we were informed the PR would be about 1 1/2 hours more to be ready. We thought my dad was playing a trick on us and it was not a trick. My mom ordered a cheeseburger but was dissapointed that we had gone 45 miles on a recommendation from several people myself included). The service was good and the other food was decent my dads steak was a little tough at the end). My recommendation is call before going to make sure the PR will be ready. My mom is not wanting to go back and was dissapointed that a discount or offer for a PR dinner in the future was not offered. We went to Bodega Burger on Monday 7-18-22). The food was delicious. My prime rib was cooked just like I requested. We will be back soon.
Food and service was really good. If you're into wine it's the place to go, but the margaritas and beers are good too. I got the black bean burger and husband got steak. Kids had amazing Mac n cheese.
