The menu had changed since I made the original reservation, with the explanation being that the food truck didn’t arrive. It took the staff 15 minutes to locate appropriate wine glasses for our order, and even then, they were not the right style. The food was decent overall, but my trout was overcooked, likely because it had been sitting under a heat lamp while we finished our appetizers. If this Westin operates as a franchise, I would consider revoking that franchise. I have experienced many Starwood properties, and this one did not live up to the brand's reputation. The only real positive aspect was the demeanor of the wait staff, who were incredibly upbeat, friendly, and helpful.
If you think you are going to get the dinner menu you see on this app think again. When I mentioned this to the waitress it looked like she went to talk to someone, came back and told me it was their ‘short menu,’ and that it’s very similar to online. The only thing similar was a Caesar salad. I told them it’s nothing like what I saw. They forgot my daughters lemonade and when it finally arrived it was just water with lemon and melted ice and they charged me $5 and said it was a soda $5??, I don’t usually mind if the kids like it. They messed up my order and I was just done. Very frustrating experience, and I never write reviews. I’ll give them something, they took a whole 15% off the bill which was $4.95. Thanks for paying for the ‘soda’ lemon water. Will not be going back.
The prices were outrageously high, and the food selection was very limited. We were quite disappointed to discover that there was no menu available, just a buffet. To make matters worse, they didn’t inform us about the buffet price, so we were taken aback when our bill totaled $350 for two adults and two children, all of whom only had tap water. It really felt like we were being taken advantage of. I wouldn’t feel comfortable recommending this restaurant to anyone.
Terrible experience. The waiter forgot one of the starters then later forgot a main and all of the sides. The manager apologized and the meal was free but the service was overall awful. The meals that did come were not correct or cold.
The filet was excellent, and I would definitely order the kale salad again. However, the duck confit was dry and lacked flavor, while the duck breast was decent but could have used a bit more time under the broiler to achieve a crispier skin. The bread was just average. On the positive side, the location is fantastic and the ambiance is pleasant. The kitchen could use a bit more creativity, though.
