Sam's Smokehouse - Snowmass Village

My all-time favorite restaurant! The food is consistently excellent, and the staff is really wonderful with our child!

Terrible experience at this restaurant. The assistant manager handed us the menus at the table by the bar at 2:00 PM today, March 27th, and then vanished. I attempted to order drinks and food from the girl behind the bar and several waiters, but to no avail. The staff was incredibly rude and dismissive. I had a similar experience here last year. I would strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant altogether; it was a complete waste of 30 minutes of our time.

This is a great spot with great staff and nice views, but the pasta is very so-so. Get something else. The bread is very good.

Went in and got table by the bar , assistant manager dropped off menus then got lost.. I tried in vain for 15 minutes to flag down the girl working behind the bar and 4 separate waiters to Place an order, finally we got up and left to another restaurant where we served immediately.. Avoid this restaurant at all costs Total arrogant vibe the minute you walk in

I ordered the Linguine and Clam sauce. Sam's is supposed to be an Italian focused restaurant. This dish was possibly the worst thing I have ever been served. Mushy pasta. Couldn't really taste garlic, clams or wine in the sauce. It was very watery. There were steamed little neck clams on the top. They were ok. If they were overcooked that would have been a total fail. Someone in the kitchen messed up. The idea of peppers in the sauce was a good idea, but unfortunately, was the only real flavor to the sauce. That made it even more strange.The other meals at the table were ok. The steak was the best item. I tried a bit of it. Very good. Brussel Sprouts were good too. The rest of the meals were mediocre. Mine was at the bottom of the group. I would have mentioned that I didn't like my pasta to the server, but she never checked back.I'm not recommending this place to others. I'm a local and Il Poggio on the mall has always been extremely good Italian. That's the place to go.
