McCray's Tavern West Village - Smyrna

My friends and I went to McCray's Tavern for their Father's Day brunch and were disappointed with the buffet options. The food selections and setup were not as appealing as we had hoped, especially compared to our previous experience at their Mother's Day brunch. However, we did appreciate that the restaurant was able to accommodate our large party with separate reservations and seat us all together. I would consider returning to McCray's for a regular dining experience, but not for a special occasion that only offers a buffet.

The restaurant was excellent, I would definitely return. I would recommend arriving earlier next time.

The buffet was good but the food was not hot. They had a hard time keeping it replenished and keeping plates restocked. The waitress was not very attentive. It was Easter but it was not crowded really. The food selection was good. More dessert options would have been good. Price was good for what you got. The prime rib was excellent!

We decided to try the Easter brunch at this restaurant. We had an early reservation, but when we arrived, the brunch buffet wasn't fully set up yet. The food items weren't labeled, so we only discovered after finishing our meal that there were made-to-order omelettes available. We felt that the experience was not worth the price.

Pleasant atmosphere and delicious tavern food. You can always count on this establishment for decent, tasty food.
