Tuco's Taqueria - Sligo

Portions are awful. Burrito box is the size of a McDonald's 6 chicken mcnugget meal Box. Staff are rude and make the customer feel awkward, as is doing you a favour for serving you. Avoid at all costs. Due to seeing other reviews I am sure my experience is consistent with many others .

We went on a Saturday lunchtime, the service was really fast, the staff were really efficient and the food was great. It was really good value and very filling. We will definitely go back our teenaged loved it and no French fries in sight.

I go in here when I get the chance, just to test the staffs grasp of the Spanish language, which is always good, and have a great bite to eat of course.

In fairness the food was good. My tacos fell to bits as they were pretty soggy and difficult to eat but tasted nice. Breda’s burrito box was nice and the cheese nachos were very good. However. It would be really nice if the staff could maybe smile and try and be friendly. I know it’s a “fast food” joint but I’ve never seen staff in a food establishment look and come across so unhappy. It’s a shame as from the minute we ordered we kind of felt unwelcome and it was a weird experience tbh. I know people can have bad days but it made us feel uncomfortable and after reading other similar reviews mentioning this, it’s a pity as it could be a great little place, but I wouldn’t be running back there soon..

Our lunch was really lovely, very tasty. My teenage daughters really enjoyed it and you have a choice over how hot you want your food. Lots of choice of fillings. We were very disappointed to be provided with plastic single use cutlery with our lunch. The European Union’s single-use plastics directive (SUPD), adopted in June, 2019, was designed to target the top 10 polluting products that are found on beaches and make up the majority of all marine litter, cutlery is one of these. Why were we not given proper rewashable cutlery, plates and glasses with our food as we ate inside the restaurant? Compostable should be used for take away,
