Mooney's - Sligo

The best thing about Mooney’s is its right beside the showgrounds, so you have a good dose of pre-match banners with all kinds of fans who are in and around the pub. Was here, so his know a great place for a chat and some high junks of the soccer crazy sligo fans who are always for a laugh. It was here, I met some of the Forza Rovers guys, but also in conversation with some other fans. Beautiful exterior, traditional and inside not too bad. Good pub, great and efficient service, always easy to get a place, always guaranteed to talk to someone, especially about Sligo Rovers, but that's good. Had a pinch of Smithwicks, was perfect, might have had two, but wished I had come earlier when I enjoyed here, but the time went up and I had to bump with the fucking game! Love this bar. Recommended, and a certain must if to a match only on the street.

It was here I met some of the Forza Rovers lads, but also got into conversation with a few other fans. Lovely exterior, traditional, and inside not too bad either. Good pub, great and efficient service, always easy to get a seat, always guaranteed to be talking to someone, mostly about Sligo Rovers, but that’s fine. Had a pint of Smithwicks, was perfect, might have had two, but wished I had come earlier as I was enjoying myself here, but time crept up and I had to toddle along to the damn game! Love this bar. Recommended, and a definite must if going to a match just up the road.

Went here with my family on a Saturday night in August. The staff and the owner were extremely friendly and helpful. The food came quickly and we all enjoyed the fantastic fish and chips.

Great place to visit prior to watching the mightily Sligo Rovers play. Reasonable priced Guinness.
