Napoli's Pizzeria - Slate Hill

My friend and his wife went to the restaurant and first asked for coffee, only to be told by a teenage waitress that they don’t serve coffee. They then requested water with lemon twice, but the waitress, who had no other tables to serve, took a long time to bring it. They ordered full meals that included soup, salad, and main dishes. A simple question about whether the soup was served in cups or bowls turned into a confusing discussion. Instead of just answering, the waitress returned with a plastic container to show the soup portion size, rather than simply stating that they serve bowls. Later, when the salad arrived, the main dishes and soups came out together! My friend pointed out that the soup should have been served first and asked for it to be taken back, as it was no longer needed. After much back-and-forth, the untouched soup was finally removed but was then brought back in a paper bag. My friend asked the manager to take it away again, explaining that the soup was not served correctly and they didn’t want it. When the bill arrived, they were charged for the two cups of water—which had never been mentioned as a charge—and for the soups that had not been served in the correct order or touched. My friend was very disappointed and doesn’t plan on returning to this restaurant. There are plenty of other pizzerias nearby that are likely to be run by owners or adult managers who understand that customers are essential to running a successful business.
