Texmex I Skellefteaa Ab

On our first visit to Skellefteå, we decided to stop for a quick dinner at this excellent Mexican restaurant. The interior, menu, and drinks all had an authentic Mexican flair. We highly recommend this place, especially for their selection of real tequila.

Unfortunately, my son and I became very ill after eating enchiladas at Taco Bar. We both have celiac disease, and the staff reassured me that the dish was gluten-free. The following day, we were both sick, and I believe it was due to gluten. The non-celiacs in our group had no issues. I would not recommend this restaurant if you have food allergies or intolerances. Our experience at Taco Bar was disappointing.

The food was delicious and the staff was attentive and friendly at all times. The service was quick! I ordered, went to wash my hands, and the food was already on the table. The frozen margarita was surprisingly exceptional for a frozen drink.

It's not the first time we visit a Taco bar. The food is always tasty, we love tacos and enchiladas. I give 3 out of five since some points need improvement. The guacamole is not guacamole, it is just mashed avocado (maybe some butter in there also?? . They're couldn't fix a margarita, and then we ordered one coke but we got two, we kept the second as we were charged, not a biggy there. We also ordered 5 soft tacos, 3 with chicken and two with beef but got the opposite. No huge issues, i guess this is due to corona-pressure but could have been a bit better. Funky interior and overall nice environment.

Really nice staff, helpfull and friendly. Large selection for all tastes. Reosanably priced. Also a good place to visit with children.
