Mexi Co - SKAGWAY

I wasn't expecting to find any tacos in this city, but it turns out there's a new family-owned restaurant that's worth checking out. I went in with low expectations but was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. The meat had great flavor, and the salsa was excellent. Their red salsa, served with the tacos, was much better than the one they give with the chips. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant was clean. The prices were a bit steep, but hey, this is Alaska for you. Definitely worth a try!

At first glance, it may seem like your typical Chipotle-style Mexican/American eatery, but it’s far from that! They serve authentic street tacos, burritos, and more. I tried the Mexican Caesar salad topped with tinga de pollo, along with a side of chips, guacamole, and queso. The chicken was juicy and bursting with flavor, and the salad was fresh and crisp. Next time I visit, I’ll definitely order a bowl of queso—it's that good!
