Tunisi - SIRACUSA

Bar Tunisi is a great place to have an Italian breakfast (cappuccino and cornetto), a granita, an arancino or a cannolo. I would recommend to have a Sicilian lunch Norma’s timballo, pasta al forno, parmigiana or caponata at reasonable price and excellent value for money. The pastries are really good!

Having lived in Siracusa for five yesrs and sampled many, many cafes across the City this is without doubt one of the best. There is seating inside and out. There are some shops about if you are self catering and is a stone’s throw from the dedicated cycleway along the cliffs towards Augusta. Walking from Ortigia is about 30 mins. but you can get the bus which then cuts the walk to about 5/7 mins.. Also, on a more extended walk you can incorporate other historic sites such as Santa Lucia in Borgata.

Off the tourist beat, this bar is well worth seeking out. It is spotlessly clean, beautifully kept and run by the same family for decades. There is something for every one here from a well stocked bar to delicious pastries to the best coffee on the island to a marvellous selection of ice creams. But what really makes this bar special is the friendly welcome and service you are made to feel completely at home as if you were one of the locals. We loved it!

Ottime colazioni sia dolci che salate, la granita è spettacolare e la ragazza che serve molto gentile e preparato. tavoli sia all'interno che all'esterno, peccato che se si consuma all'interno seduto al tavolo è necessario il passaggio verde. consigliato anche per la sua vicinanza al mare.
