Agriturismo Calamosche is a charming, family run restaurant where one can dine under a beautiful grove of trees.....in fact, on the weekend day we visited, it was not full of beach goers but instead large family groups enjoying a relaxing, delicious lunch experience. Among the offerings of meals all made with fresh ingredients is an excellent octopus salad. In addition, the house wines are fantastic!
We knew, for the pictures that it was not going to be a gem but still. Almost everything on the room was bad, the bed, the shower, the smell, the only thing in good shape was the mini fridge but we did not had use for it : Calamosche beach which we think is called like this because of the flies ; The only good thing about this place was the girl in charge, she was nice and polite.
This being the only restaurant close to the beautiful Calamosche Beach, they clearly don't need to fight off competition, so I was a bit concerned before deciding to stop there for lunch. My doubts disappeared during a pleasant and relaxing lunch: food is simple but good, the portions are handsome, and the location extremely convenient, close to the parking lot.
It was a great experience! We had pasta with ricci di mare and it was amazing! I would suggest to everyone to try this place!
Even after I had read good reviews about this place I was going to pass it by as it did not seem to start work at about noon. However, we were so exhausted by the heat and we needed to stop and and drink water, so we sat down and then they started preparing tables for lunch. In no time every table was occupied. English is hardly spoken. With the help of Google we understood what was what in the menu... Absolutely delicious! We weren't even hungry! But it was not to be missed! Huge and afordable big red prawns! I would return one day, not for the beach, one time is enough for the crowded beach, but for the prawns!
