If things have stayed the same, then this was the best dining experience I had in the Philippines. The location was stunning, situated along the secluded Sugar Beach near dense jungle forests, with a 20-minute drive to and from Sipalay City. The open-air restaurant offered a wide view of the beach, sea, and sunset, with a pleasant sea breeze and overhead fans creating a relaxing atmosphere. The extensive menu was available from 6 am to 10 pm, although we usually had our evening meal at 5:00 due to the weather in June. The service was good, and the owner was friendly and responsive. The portions were generous and everything we tried from the menu was excellent. The Chicken Cordon Bleu was a standout dish: a chicken breast wrapped in cheese and bacon, then baked and fried. While dairy products were not readily available in the Philippines, the processed cheese used in the dish did not detract from its overall quality. The omelet and banana nip dessert were also memorable. We tried a variety of dishes from the menu, all of which were delicious, although we can't recall the specifics. We didn't frequent the bar, opting for soft drinks and fruit shakes to accompany our meals instead.
Great value for the prices! The Carbonara portion was enough for 2-3 people. The mixed salad was unique with Chinese pechay replacing traditional salad greens. The pizza was a bit small but very filling!
If you ever envision a serene bar right on the beach with delicious food and great service, this is the place for you. The stunning sunset views are a must-see experience at Sugar Beach. - John and Gina.
Great portions of food. Meals are boiled to order and you can guarantee that is fresh. Pizza and coffee must try! Additional advantage is the beautiful view that will increase your appetite :
