There are also vegetarian choices and seasonal dishes. In November, for example, you will be able to eat duck cooked in the traditional austrian way. At the end of the dinner you can go through the vineyard on the back of the restaurant. I suggest it!
Located in the outskirts of Vienna with a garden overlooking the vineyards this heurigen serves as a welcoming place. We arrived with a large group and because of the rain we were quickly ushered inside. Seated in a large room we got a glass of the typical “gemischter Satz “ . Food came as a buffet and contained staples such as salads and of course schnitzels. I thoroughly enjoyed dinner and the post dinner coffe which we enjoyed outside weather had cleared). The neighbor from the house in the vineyard behind the heurigen did not like the fact tha we were close to the perimeter and came out with a dog telling us that we must move back from the fence. Highly unusual and not at par withe the hospitality received at the heurigen.
There are many Heuriger in Vienna but few compare to this one. The setting is beautiful with the garden downhil from the vineyard. The food is exactly what you expect from a Heuriger and better than many traditional Austrian restaurants I have been to. The wine is ridiculously cheap and they sometimes have life music. Not many tourists and very popular with the locals. Without a reservation you might be turned down especially in the weekend on a nice wam day. I gladly recommend this place, its very nice.
It was served a speciality. the service was friendly and efficient. the price/performance ratio is good.
A positive experience. Traditional food prepared with love and care. Even you, the place is on Turist Street, the total impression is good. Wine is absolutely better than average and the branch is excellent. We'll be back.
