Poco Novo - Sintra

This is mainly a picanha restaurant but also has other Fish and Meat dishes. Picanha comes served with rice, black beans, potatoes and a tomato/onion/cucumber salad. Very filling and tasty meal, the meat and black beans are delicious. They come and replenish your picanha once completed, so great value.

We tried the beef with rice,beans, salad, potatoes, it was flavourful. You can reorder the sides at no extra cost. The calamari, 7 tubes with 3 little prawn comes with roasted potatoes and a tasty mayo. The calamari was fresh and flavourful and the star of the lunch. We also tried the hamburger. It comes with an egg on the top and roasted potatoes and that magnificent mayo again. It is a little drive from Lisbon but a beautiful area and setting. You feel as though you are in a village restaurant. Loved that. If I return it would be for the calamari, toast potatoes and mayo, and the berry sangria. The cheesecake with sweet milk and nut topping is a pass from me low on flavour. It’s a great once off for a lazy Saturday lunch filled with locals and lovely atmosphere. Prices are reasonable for the ‘eat as much as you like’ option.

Picanha e acompanhamentos: 5* espetacular; comparecimento: 5* equipe super simpática e atenciosa; espaço: 3* apertado, e sala de entrada com cheiro intenso à comida. Apesar do aperto do espaço, certamente vale a pena voltar.
