Eigenwijs - Sint-niklaas

Unlike other reviews, I had no money here at all. Coming in feels good. Nice trendy case with the eyebrows the open kitchen. Not too many tables on Tuesday afternoon. Nice reception and all at the aperitif a nice amuse. I took the meat carpaccio and this one was the way it should be. A trendy who wants to eat trendy.

Today's menu was identical to the regular menu, but offered at a discounted price of $2. The food and service were both very good. The restaurant is quite spacious, making it less suitable for a more intimate dining experience. The dessert options were limited to either moelleux or coffee/tea, which was a bit peculiar.

If I were in the area, I might stop by, but I wouldn't make a special trip to go there. The food I had was nothing extraordinary, and the atmosphere didn't feel welcoming.

The warm and welcoming reception set a positive tone for our dining experience in a cozy and warm dining room, which was much appreciated on a cold night. Given these factors, we would rate our overall experience higher.
