I made a reservation for brunch through Chope. The restaurant is spacious, but it felt a bit warm despite the indoor air conditioning. I ordered an iced mocha, which was delicious. Since I wasn't that hungry, I chose the eggs with sourdough, while my friend went for the big breakfast. The service was quick.
The service was fantastic! The staff responded quickly to our requests, even when I asked to have the bread reheated. They were always smiling and friendly. We stopped by for some drinks and snacks, and I really enjoyed it. The bread was soft and paired perfectly with the deli items. I will definitely return for a full meal!
As for the food, it was decent overall. I particularly loved the rotolo pasta, which had a wonderfully balanced and creamy cheese filling paired with a bright tomato sauce—simple but comforting. The crispy roasted pork was good too, although the skin could have been a bit crispier; however, the accompaniments and presentation were impressive. Unfortunately, the lobster mac and cheese and the dip platter didn't quite meet my expectations, especially the tzatziki, so I'll opt for the cheese platter next time instead. For dessert, we chose the flourless chocolate cake, which was a safe but solid choice. The total bill came to $142 for four people, but I don't appreciate the $8 charge for water. Overall, I would definitely return for catch-ups and would recommend it for a casual meal, though it is on the pricier side.
