Contribuiți la feedbackI believe the standards at this restaurant have remained consistent over the years. Both our salmon and beef bowls were delicious, featuring fresh and well-cooked proteins. What sets their dishes apart is the rice; instead of the usual sushi rice, it seems to be mixed with furikake, which adds a nice touch. I also really enjoy the pickles they serve. However, prices have definitely gone up over time.
Their happy hour runs from 5 PM to 8 PM, and there are plenty of drink offers during that time. With a drink, you can enjoy oysters for $2 each, five pieces of salmon for $7, salmon lobster mentaiko bao for $5, and uni, though sadly it was out of stock when I visited. I ordered the Foie Gras Truffle Yakiniku Donburi, Salmon Kaisen Donburi, and Garlic Butter Chicken Donburi. The Truffle Fries with Foie Gras were very good, with a nice slight char flavor, but the black angus short rib was a bit too dry for my taste. Overall, the experience was just okay. The Salmon Kaisen Donburi was fairly standard and the portion was on the smaller side. On the other hand, the Garlic Butter Chicken Donburi was unique in flavor and quite fragrant due to the garlic. I had two servings of the Salmon Lobster Mentaiko sauce baos as well as some oysters. The total bill came to $177 for three people, which I found to be quite pricey. The service was decent; the staff were generally polite and prompt. Would I return? Perhaps, but only for the happy hour drinks and some oysters and fries.
The oysters were plump, creamy, and priced at $5 each. They were a bit pricier than the happy hour oysters, but definitely worth every penny. The truffle fries with mayo and mushrooms were delicious. The raw sashimi bowls featured thick cuts of fish and perfectly seasoned rice. One downside, though: I recommend requesting indoor seating but away from the entrance. The acoustics were terrible, with echoes bouncing off the walls. A table of 10 nearby was laughing loudly, which made it challenging to enjoy the intimate atmosphere of the small enclosed area.
Oysters here are big and fresh. Food was delicious. Had the truffle yakiniku don. The oysters are on 50% during their Happy Hour from 5pm 8pm with order of a drink.
If you don't mind the long queue during the happy hour and the sometimes not so friendly service staff, the place, the food, the sushi, the oysters, the beer and the cocktails are awesome. The oysters get sold out quickly, so go early, but if you don't mind not eating the oysters, go after happy hour.
