Sakae Sushi - Singapore

Ichiban may not be the most budget-friendly dining choice, but their set menus certainly deliver in my opinion. I love the simple, casual setting combined with delicious food. I always enjoy their salmon don, and I always ask for extra sesame oil and chili padi for an added kick. The unagi is thick and covered in sauce, served with egg and rice. The soft shell crab is also fantastic - crispy and full of flavor. Overall, I always have a great dining experience at Ichiban!

Came here on mother day. Full of ppl but Luckily we come earlier. The person who attend us is very good. Just like he is the only one who working like that. Give queue number. Call number, bring customer to table, help for any customer request and so on. Of course Other waiter and waitress is good also, Just lack of manpower on that day. Anyway thanks for the guy in front. U are the best. The food is very delicious. We tried the cold soba (i think this is how it call. The teriyaki chicken set is yummy too. Will definitely come again. If u like sushi, there are so many choices. Suitable for ppl who love Japanese food.

Oh .. great and yummy foods . salmon are fresh and juicy. foods portion just nice for sharing. serving staffs are helpful.

This Japanese restaurant is my go-to for a wide variety of delicious and affordable set meals. The downside is that there is often a long wait to be seated, most likely because the food is so good and reasonably priced. I do think the staff could be more organized and attentive, as some customers tend to linger at their tables even after finishing their meals. The pork miso soup set includes plenty of vegetables, a good amount of pork, and a tasty broth. The beef in the cheesy beef set is tender and well seasoned, with the cheese adding an extra layer of flavor.

I was here last Sunday evening with my hubby and a friend. The food was really good. We enjoyed it very much. The set meals are value for money and reasonably priced.Ordering is done through our own phone by scanning a QR code. We were given a seat in the middle of the restaurant but due to safe distancing, we has to sit all in a row rather than facing each other. Would have preferred to sit facing one another so that it is easier to chat. Fortunately I was able to switch my seat after the next table left. Date of review: 26 Sep 2021
