Prata Wala Nex - Singapore

I visited this restaurant around lunchtime, and it's always busy. The service is decent, which is to be expected with so many orders coming in. It's a great spot to satisfy your craving for Indian food at nex. The prata is the non-greasy variety, and the curries are fantastic! The biryani set is also quite good—very filling as well!

I would give this restaurant 5 stars for the food but only 3 stars for the inconsistent service. It's a regular spot for delicious, hearty Indian dishes served in generous portions. The atmosphere tends to be quite noisy, so I highly recommend ordering takeout if you prefer a more comfortable and peaceful dining experience at home. My favorites include the tandoori platter (which often runs out by dinner time) and the egg thosai accompanied by sambar and various chutneys. The prata is also great—chewy and satisfying—if you're in the mood for something simple.

This is a great place to enjoy Indian cuisine. I ordered the whole grain Veg Nan set, which was quite tasty. However, I found it a bit on the pricey side at 11.50 SGD. The restaurant operates on a self-service model, so you'll need to queue to place your order and then return to collect your food when it's ready. The local roti prata is also quite enjoyable.

I visit this restaurant almost every weekend for breakfast. Their onion and kosong prata are quite good, especially the kosong, which is perfectly crispy without having a biscuit-like taste. They also have a TV playing Mr. Bean cartoons, which is nice because you don’t really need to hear it.
