Wow ! Great place to enjoy home style Indian food from butter chicken to curry fish. Briyani rice is to enjoy with the fish and of course to get hot naan.

Since 1993, this stalwart casual eatery has been delighting diners with their homely South Indian dishes, potent curries with fiery kick, and wallet-friendly prices. Little wonder they still attract lomg queues during daily meal times. . Their rendition features a large bone-in chicken cut, over which is ladled a rich thick curry paste that clings to the tender chicken meat. . Potent, bright and sharp spicy savoury salty meaty flavours, with a slight lingering heat.

Love this place! I would recommend to anyone. Varieties of foods and freshly decorated so it looks good. I have been coming here for years. never had a problem. lovely staff and service and well worth the money!

Yummeh! Yummeh! Yummeh! Definitely a meal that was meant to be enjoyed with your hands and that was what I did! Been ages since I had briyani and a good one at that. So we headed to this place. Although it 's in bukit panjang along Upper Bukit Timah, one would not think that it would be crowded and busy but yes it was. We arrived, scanned in and got our seats. The gentleman gave us the menu and instantly and giddilly choosing what we wanted! The menu was sufficient although we would be expecting more but still, it was good. We ordered Mysore Chicken, Sotong, Lamb Briyani Set and fish curry. For 2 pax, that was alot. Oh, and not forgetting, 2 Teh Halia too. The staff there was really attentive and friendly even though the place was jammed packed even with ppl q-ing outside still. Food came shortly after. It was served on a banana leaf lah, how 's that for authenticity. And then they piled on the food and brought our dishes out. Appetizing!!! The place is tucked along a road less traveled and that in itself makes it so rustic of sort whilst at the same time a bit out of the way. Also, yesterday ordering and payment system needs q bit more fine tuning. We 'll, there 's a saying, 'Got food will travel ' and Karu 's definitely worth the visit.
