They were wary at first but after tasting them, it was the first dish to be gone. Could do with some chopped chilli padi in the dip for those who like it hot. The fried cod was brilliantly done. Cripy on the outside and so fresh and tender inside. My next favourite dish was the Brinjal with Minced Pork and Dried Shrimps. I don't like mushy food and the brinjal here was well done yet retaining its bite. A must eat is the Prawn Roll, Haechoe. 4 fat ones came on on a plate nicely browned with chockful of coarsely chopped pork and prawns. We had the braised pork belly with salted vegetables, not salty or oily although the belly pork had layers of fats. You don't need to go to Taiwan for a taste of home-cooked Taiwanese food. Goldleaf Tiawanese Restaurant in Singapore does it better. We will definitely go again especially for their 45th anniversary special offers.
Awesome food and great services as usual. New varieties of great dishes enhance the selection despite revisiting the place for dinner 3 days in a row with friends and colleagues
Really liked their food and customer service! Nestled right in the heart of CBD at Telok Ayer, Gold Leaf is the perfect meal spot!
Great food, great service. I particularly like the butter prawns super big and juicy and the deep fried vermicelli. I thought it was interesting that the gravy used egg yolks and it gave the noodles a really interesting texture. Would definitely come back with friends :
This restaurant is a hidden gem nestled among the high-rise buildings in downtown. Just a short walk from Telok Ayer station, Goldleaf Restaurant is a great choice for a sumptuous dinner after a long day at work. I was quite impressed with the overall quality of the dishes. The pork ribs, in particular, were excellently marinated, with flavors that lingered in my mouth well after my first bite. One dish that really stood out was the deep-fried vermicelli noodles served with seasonal vegetables. The star of this dish was the gravy made primarily from egg yolks, which complemented the ingredients beautifully. I also tried a longan drink, an in-house specialty, which struck the perfect balance of sweetness—I found myself wanting a second glass! I would highly recommend this restaurant. The ambiance is pleasant, making it a lovely place to enjoy a meal with friends and share conversations about the food.
