That why we decided to try it at some point and today is the day! Ok generally I like the ambience settings and the utensils, chairs, tables used and fans placed at right place to ensure smooth ventilation. Their staffs are welcoming, warm and polite when asking to clear finished plates of food. Ok as you can see I ordered alot of other smaller buns variety aside to the traditional kaya bun set w egg/coffee etc which I personally feel they are missing out alot. Ranking from most likings at #1 for food: 1. Hei bi hiam bun (prawn paste) 2. Luncheon meat bun 3. Kaya butter bun (set) 4. Cheese chocolate brownie 5. Gula melaka chervon (was recommended by staff but nah normal only loh) 6. Cream horn puff (seems popular and many seems to want to try it on review but out of stock but nah not my cup of tea lol I hate eat one bite and many loose crumbs fall off all over the place. My fiancée dont like the cream) Lastly their coffee O and yuan yang aren't bad but if hotter better. If I know got bigger cups, I'd have upsized. Came here and queued just for the small cup isnt shiok enough. The staff or cashier should have asked for options to upsize else first timer wont be aware. Anyway, likings more than dislikes so 5 star. Happy weekend!
Traditional breakfast set is at rooftop level. Egg is perfectly half boiled and cooled for ease of serving. Generous kaya on top of soft traditional bread. Coffee blended well. Just need to bear with the long queue in the morning.
Used to frequent this nostalgic place before it was closed previously. The reopening have created a new lease of life with new image and food items on the menu. It was a quick visit with colleagues today for coffee after lunch. The homemade Kaya taste on the bread is still the same if not better. I like the luncheon meat bun too and hopefully will be back to try the other bread available.
Old school kopitiam serving traditional eggs, coffee and toast. The PB chocolate tart is a surprise, and very very good. Tart shell is butter and crisp, filling is smooth and chocolate-y. Kaya and butter bread is a must order as usual. Wish the coffee was a bit more intense and flavourful but overall a great place for breakfast if there isn’t too much of a queue.
A quaint neighbourhood stall with local coffee and snacks. Non air conditioned, and is suitable for anyone who wants to have a taste of good cakes. Recommended: coffee, yuan yang and coffee ciffon cake.
