The Raj - Simon's Town

This elegant and upscale Indian restaurant is a top choice for both Indians and vegetarians in the area. The food was incredibly flavorful and beautifully presented. We sampled the Mutton Rogan Josh, naan, and biryani, all of which came highly recommended. The cost for two was reasonable. I want to commend the staff for their excellent service—keep up the great work!

What a fantastic experience at The Raj! The service was exceptional, with three staff members working seamlessly together. The food was not only well-prepared but also served promptly—truly top-notch. They remain open late and cater to a variety of diners, from individuals and couples to families, yet the atmosphere never feels crowded. The ocean view is a definite bonus, and they offer a complete bar. The only area for improvement would be wheelchair accessibility.

The food was good, but not fantastic. The service standard take away service. I noticed a well attired chef in the kitchen... perhaps letting the customers see the chef and some of the kitchen may inspire and encourage customers as to the authenticity of the food
