Barrel Restaurant - Simcoe

Some of the best Italian food i have ever had! We 4 came for dinner, no reservations but only had a short wait. Seated in a large comfortable booth, cold water and drinks arrived quickly foolwed by a great salad that had a gret variety of fresh vegetables in it, not just the usual lettuce, carrot, tomato, and a very light italian dressing and a homemade bread stick on the side. Great start to the meal. Our mains arrived all at the same time, 3 different pasta and meat combinations and all were really really good. Mine was a special, not on the regular menu and I would have gladly eaten it every day. Our 4th ordered a simple caesar wrap and said it was very frsh and crispy, just what she wanted. Bathrooms were clean, parking was easy, and our server was really good. They were very busy but she always arrived with a smile and had great timing with whatever we needed. We will definitely be back whenever we are in the area.

We visited this restaurant for the first time with our family, and finding it was a breeze. They were very accommodating for our group of seven adults and one toddler. The menu offered a great selection, and each of us ordered something different. To our delight, all the meals arrived at the table within minutes of each other. Everyone enjoyed their hot and fresh meals, which were served in generous portions. Our grandson particularly loved his first restaurant experience! Our waitress was efficient and friendly, taking our orders, serving our meals, and checking in on us throughout our visit. This restaurant comes highly recommended for anyone visiting Simcoe, Ontario, and the surrounding area!

Our family, spanning four generations, had an amazing lunch there today. The food was fantastic, served hot, and there was plenty of it! As a fellow restaurant owner, I can truly appreciate high-quality food when I taste it. Our server was both knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. We will definitely be coming back—it's worth the two-hour drive!
