Los Girasoles - Silverton

Los Girasoles is SO GOOD! We were camping about 25 minutes away from this taco shop and ate here twice, because we were so impressed the first day. We came to Oregon from southern California and good Mexican food is HARD to find, at least in Portland. I had the fish burrito with everything. The tortillas are fresh and delicious. The fish has a tasty marinade on it. And the hot sauce is fire!! It tasted just like home. Pro-tip ask for the red sauce. On my second trip they only gave me green sauce. I almost cried! I wish I could come here on a weekly basis. Okay you get it. I like this place: We also enjoyed Horchata and some baked goods! They have a whole baked goods counter in the front of the shop. The person taking your order will get the items out for you.

Sorry to say my experience with the food here wasn't as good as most other reviews. The Shrimp Tostada came with baby shrimp (not what I expected and shrimp tasted a little off). Fish Taco came in a fresh, flour tortilla, but not much flavor and little fish. The green salsa has good flavor and heat. Ordered 2 Carne Asada tacos to go and found the meat was mostly inedible (some very hard pieces, other pieces were mostly gristle) had to toss most of it and mi flavor! Sad to say bx they were very friendly and helpful. Maybe I just ordered the wrong things. Lots of fresh baked goods available. Small place, a few indoor tables and outdoor seating under a tent. Small parking lot.

And now we can add Los Girasoles to that list. What a pinnacle of achievement, truly fine Mexican cuisine at is purest! Send another human to the moon? and then let?s figure out how to get them a Los Girasoles burrito up there! We can do this!
