Sarku Japan - Silver Spring

I visited this restaurant and enjoyed some sushi after my visit to White Oak, and I must say the food was excellent! Since everything was due to the COVID takeout restrictions, we ordered the California Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll, and Miso Soup. All dishes were delicious, and the waiting time was quite reasonable!

It was about an hour before closing when I visited the restaurant. My teriyaki chicken arrived surprisingly quickly, probably because they prepare extra right before closing time. The chicken was quite good, and the portion size was decent, although I could have used a bit more sauce. The white rice was nicely cooked—fluffy and slightly dry, which I appreciated as it had a perfect al dente texture. The sushi was mediocre; it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either. At least it was better than the cold sushi you find in grocery stores. Overall, I would definitely consider having their teriyaki chicken again.
