Here came on a rainy spring evening mainly because of the outside seats. The menu is characterized by allergens and the waiter informed me that they have gluten-free pasta, but pointed out that although the water is different than the other pasta, the kitchen has a precursor and the flour from homemade pasta and pizza is in the air. I chose a salad that was delicious and they brought two gluten-free rolls for me.
The best spagetti Carbonara I have tried in Italy. I also recomment Fagottini pasta. Friendly staff. I will come back..
We dropped in for a quick meal on our tour of beautifull Siena. Besides forgetting one of our orders the staff was quick and efficient. The food was ok but nothing special. All in all the restaurant fulfilled our expectations but the 3 euro covercharge and general quality makes it a better option to just grab a pizza from one of the small pizza places.
We ate here to be on the square and it still had tables in the shade. After we sat down we looked it up in TripAdvisor and saw that it was poorly ranked. Our experience was quite good, however. The service was at least average, certainly nothing to complain about. The food was very good. The calzone was large enough to share and was good. My wife got a burger and it was really excellent. Overall, it was a good experience…not the very best we’ve had in Italy, but certainly good and if you want to eat in the Il Campo square, you shouldn’t go wrong.
