Always good fresh salad buffet and excellent steaks with friendly competent service.

Cosy steak house in the upper city with great service and delicious steaks. We look forward to the next visit to the Oberstadt! A tip for tourists!

We live directly near the El Rancho, so it has become almost the second living room. Certainly, the ambience doesn't get you right from the chair and has something in the years, but for that, the food will get out again. The service is friendly and fast. I find the choice of dishes good and sufficient. You should not expect culinary experiences here, you will find typical steakhouse dishes. I can only recommend the steaks. Optionally you can add an oven potato or salad there. To this day I have not eaten a better steak (which does not mean there is). Recommended for every meat lover.

This was the first restaurant we visited during our 16 day visit to Germany and though we are from Texas and expecting our host and hostess to take us to a German restaurant, we were very pleased they opted instead for their favorite restaurant in Siegen, El Rancho. The Texas decor made us feel at home. The salad bar had a wide variety of fresh items, the small filet was huge, so juicy and tender, and the wine wonderful! A very scrumptious meal for 2 weary and starving travelers just off an international flight.
